Characterizing the Role of GDE6 in Neural Tube Patterning and Neurogenesis

thesis
posted on 2024-06-28, 19:21 authored by Madeline Jean McKean

The study of neuronal signaling during development is important for understanding the mechanisms that lead to specific neuronal cell fates. In the past twenty years, developmental neurobiology has made extensive progress in characterizing the molecular mechanisms that allow cells to differentiate. Though many unanswered questions remain. Current research aims to understand gaps in the developmental story and to compare mechanisms between developmental and adult neural stem cell populations.
